Lindsey & Jared – An Emotional First Look

When I arrived, the groomsmen were clearly ready to have fun. I think I must have walked in on some hysterical conversation when I entered the room. I’m still curious what they were talking about. Jared immediately spotted me as I began to introduce myself. “What do we do now,” he asked. “First, relax,” I said, “and start getting ready.” It only took a few minutes to realize that this was going to be a great group of gentlemen. By the time I reached Lindsey later that afternoon, it became abundantly clear that the entire group was amazing. The bridal party was composed completely of family, fraternity brothers, sorority sisters, and the closest of friends.

Before heading to Fountaine Bleau for Lindsey and Jared’s wedding ceremony & reception, we first had something special planned. For their wedding, Lindsey and Jared chose to do a first look. Doing so creates a great emotional moment, but also solves a lot of scheduling issues. While planning for their wedding day, Lindsey and Jared both wavered between a first look and a traditional approach. At the end of the wedding, I asked Lindsey what she thought of the first look – “The best decision we made!” For the first look itself, we found a beautiful and secluded homestead in Avon Lake, not far from their wedding location. Thankfully the sun was beaming, but more important was the moment shared between the bride & groom. It was so beautiful.

And the great moments didn’t stop with the first look. The ceremony was deeply personal. One of my favorite moments was Jared being escorted down the aisle by his parents. During the wedding reception both the Maid of Honor and Best Man gave funny, heartfelt toasts. All the guests danced late into the night and clearly had a blast, especially Lindsey and Jared themselves. To the new Mr. & Mrs. – thank you so much for having me as a small part of your wedding!
