Jackie & Scott – engagement and chocolates

It’s Friday and I’m location scouting for Jackie and Scott’s engagement session the next day. I wanted to try some new places, so I thought I would check out Tremont. Specifically, down near Lucky’s Cafe. Then I saw it – and it was perfect. I had heard rumors of Lilly’s Chocolates, but that was all. I was right in front of Lilly’s and we were coming back here tomorrow; scenery be damned!

Turns out the scenery was actually quite nice. Luckily, autumn tends to be that way. After shooting around Tremont, we finally arrived in Lilly’s neighborhood. Have a peak below for photos from the day and more on Lilly’s -

So what makes Lilly’s so special? They make boutique chocolates by hand with some really interesting flavors. Just imagine Shiraz soaked cherries embedded in a mound ganache and wrapped in dark chocolate. That stuff is pure sex, and that’s coming from someone who is not a chocolate fan. Why was going to Lilly’s so important? Because it is something to make my client’s experience unique. Creating a unique experience is becoming more important for me and by business.

As you can see, Annabelle the Polaroid made another appearance. I was actually shooting some great photos on Annabelle’s brother, Clarence. Clarence is a Polaroid Spectra I picked up recently and we were shooting some expired Softtone film. And yes, I name my Polaroid Cameras.

So, that’s about it for the day. Keep an eye out for more posts coming very soon. I should have a couple up this week. Also, consider “liking” us on Facebook or following the action on Twitter.

P.S. – If you are looking for a great first dance wedding song, I recommend Otis Redding’s “That’s How Strong My Love Is” for three reasons -

  1. Come on, it’s Otis!
  2. How can you deny the lyric “I’ll be the ocean so deep and wide, I’ll get out the tears whenever you cry”
  3. It was our first dance song, but you can use it too :)

See y'all soon,
Hunter
