I was almost surprised by the longer evening hours. Yesterday it seemed like the sun was setting at 5:00 PM. Now, we don’t even start engagement sessions until after dinner. I’m certainly happy the evenings are bright again. The summer light is so beautiful. Sunset seems filled with tones of peach, honey, magenta and purple. The fast setting sun also lets loose brief periods of brilliant orange and blonde. For Carrie and Kevin, we started late deliberately to utilize the evening light. We kept going right past sunset because Carrie and Kevin made the light over downtown Cleveland look so amazing. Step inside for just a few favorites (and a blimp too).

I focus on weddings around the Cleveland area almost exclusively. However, I’ve spread out a little lately to take on some high school senior portraits for students around Lakewood and Rocky River. The sessions are a welcome change from weddings. Instead of working hard for one client over months and photographing large groups of people, senior portrait sessions offer a completely different approach. I love working with a single student for a few hours at a time. The concentration on just one person can have magical results. So I was happy to take on another senior portrait session when Elise and her mother, Mary, contacted me. Step inside for a look at how a great session turns out.

Interesting subject for you blog…I like the post…and the tattoo. I have just one myself that I got when I was 19, still love it. It good not to jump into a decision like that, you’re stuck with it for quite a while. Looking forward to seeing your chicken, lol!
That’s a really nice piece of work. Be careful. It’s addicting – once you get one… I’ve been under the gun four time now and get the itch about once a year to get another one.

That’s a really cool tattoo.
Well you know I am a fan of Brooke, seriously she rocks, but now I like her even more! Good for you Brooke!! And great fotos Hunter.
I have no tattoos, but for a long time have been considering acquiring a honey bee to commemorate, well, so many things. Bees are so central to the workings of our healthy and sustainable habitats; they are unusual and magical in how they accomlish their work both individually and together; they help feed us; they listen to the sun and create liquid gold; and they are charming to watch in the garden. This is the most beautiful bee tattoo I have seen. Nice choice, Brooke; nice work, Cole.
